We’re hiring at The Ivy Coach. If you are a current or former Ivy League admissions officer (or if you work/worked as an admissions officer at a highly selective college such as MIT, Duke, Caltech, Amherst, Williams, or Stanford to name a few), we’d like to hear from you.
The Ivy Coach is a private college counseling practice committed to providing college admissions consulting to students who hail from across the country and around the world. Our primary goal is that our students can gain admission to the most appropriate college of their choice where they can ultimately be successful academically, extracurricularly, and socially. Our clients’ first priority is their children’s education and our students are motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic. While we meet with some of our clients in person at our Manhattan offices, we work with many clients over the phone or via Skype. We’d prefer that you live in the New York metropolitan area, but it’s not a requirement for all of our college counselors.
The salary that we can offer you is highly competitive. If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. But first please email Bev Taylor (director@theivycoach.com ) your cover letter and resume.

On the west coast, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Pomona, Caltech, USC are now considered the “Ivies” to a student population that prefers to stay close to home and still get a prestigious education. Please check my website and let me know if you would like to expand to the west coast. I have been working as a college and grad school essay coach for twenty years, after being drafted as a professional writer into a volunteer organization called One Voice. Word spread about my successful track record at helping inner city students get into the Ivies and a new career was launched.
My applicants get into Ivies as well as schools like Amherst,Brown and Williams. The key to my success is that I am a strategic essay coach who has worked for top college counseling organizations for years, was able to help a student from as far away as Jordan get into Harvard and Yale. I am just at work revamping my website but I think you will be able to see the impact I have had on applicants’ success, both now and in their future careers.
AS a professional writer, I prefer to make the college essay into a rite of passage for students who have never written a personal essay before. My motto is: If you dont have fun writing your essay, your reader is NOT going to have fun reading it. Major goal: Wake them up!
There are many many students who can get into great schools without there having to be an “Ivy.” I look forward to hearing from you.
