The Dartmouth College ranking is on the rise. In this year’s “US News & World Report” college rankings, Dartmouth improved a position among national universities from eleventh to tenth. It was in fact the only Ivy League university to improve upon its national ranking this year. And among national universities at which the faculty have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, Dartmouth College ranked first in a tie with Princeton University. This is the second year in a row that Dartmouth has claimed this coveted top spot.
In “US News & World Report’s” high school counselor picks, Dartmouth also ranked first. This is up from ranking fifth in last year’s edition of the rankings. In the category of great schools at a great price, Dartmouth placed seventh, the very position it earned last year as well. According to “Dartmouth Now,” “‘Dartmouth is in a position of increasing strength powered by the academic excellence of our faculty and students,’ says President Carol L. Folt. ‘Our strategic planning process will build on a solid foundation to ensure that our future will be one of even stronger faculty and student achievement, as well as research that will keep Dartmouth at the forefront of educational institutions for decades to come.’”
